Ralph Oliver Graef advises on all areas of audio-visual and interactive media. He represents leading German and international film & TV companies, such as film producers, studios, television stations, IP-TV broadcasters and rights traders, and game developers. He also represents international celebrities in protecting their privacy and publicity rights, as well as actors, directors, photographers, and other artists in protecting their creative work. He is the Managing Partner and founder of the media law firm GRAEF Rechtsanwälte and also admitted as Attorney-at-law to the New York Bar, USA. He graduated in law from the University of Freiburg (Germany) 1993 and Cambridge University, St. Catharine’s College (England) 1994. Thereafter he took his Doctor of Science of Law (J.S.D.) at the University of Freiburg (Germany) 1995 and a Master of Laws (LL.M.) at New York University (USA) 1998. He started his career as attorney with the international law firm White & Case in Hamburg before he was Chief Operating Officer with sportmarketing agency Global Sportnet. From 2001 to 2008 he was partner in the film department of one of the biggest German media boutique law firms. In 2008 he founded the media law boutique GRAEF Rechtsanwälte (www.graef.eu). Ralph Oliver Graef is recommended by the publishers of the leading legal market handbooks JUVE and Legal 500 for “TV, Film & Entertainment”.
