Marco Valerio Pugini is the President of Panorama Films, established in 1997 in partnership with Ute Leonhardt, folding together two of his former companies, Panorama Productions (1989) and Produzioni Corsare (1996). With these companies Pugini developed and line produced the feature film I Giardini dell’Eden and completed more than one hundred jobs, including Jane Campion’s The Portrait of a Lady, for companies based around the world. Considered one of the top companies in Italy, Panorama has provided production services for – among others – Angels and Demons and Eat, Pray, Love for Sony-Columbia, Envy and The Island for Dreamworks, Judas for Paramount in Morocco, Inkheart for New Line, Midsummer Night’s Dream for Fox, HBO’s The Sopranos, Everybody Loves Raymond and Angels in America, The Lizzy McGuire Movie for Disney and Letters to Juliet for Summit. Pugini Co-Executive Produced the large scale Series “Rome” for HBO and BBC (winner of 7 Emmy Awards), was Executive Producer on Spike Lee’s “Miracle at St. Anna” and Producer on Marco Pontecorvo’s debut film “PA-RA-DA”, presented in Venice and Toronto’s festivals. Pugini is a founding member of several business associations in Italy (API – producers/directors, APP – tv-commercials producers, APE – production service companies), and has been President of APE for the years 2006-2012. He is also a member of the European Film Academy and of the Accademia del Cinema Italiano and active in consulting and tutoring for several Italian and European training courses and institutions.
