Mark graduated from the University of Arizona in 1996 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Media Arts. Whilst in university, he spent 6 months abroad studying in Spain at Estudio Internacional Sampere (Madrid, Salamanca). He also worked for CBS Television as an Assistant Sports Producer in Tucson, Arizona, and was also a Marketing Field Representative for Warner Bros.
He started with United International Pictures in 1996-1999 as a Manager Trainee in Brazil, Panama/Central America/Caribbean, and Peru. Whilst in Panama, he worked as Sales and Marketing Manager for the CaribbeanIslands of Jamaica, Aruba, Curaçao, and Bonaire. In May 1999, Mark was relocated to the Regional office in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil and held the position of Sales and Marketing Manager for Latin America and Caribbean. In November 2002, he was named Sales and Marketing Director for the region.
In August 2003, he transferred to the UIP home office in London, UK as Senior Director Sales EMEA. He was directly supervising Scandinavia, Finland, Israel, Greece and Portugal, as well as supporting the Senior Vice President for France, Italy, German, Spain and UK. In November 2004, he was promoted to Vice President of Europe, Middle East, and Africa, where he supervised The Netherlands, Belgium, Austria, Switzerland, Russia, Ukraine, Scandinavia, Greece, Israel, and Portugal as well as continuing to work with Germany, Spain, France, Italy, and United Kingdom.
On January 1, 2007, he became the Senior Vice President Distribution, EMEA for the newly formed Paramount Pictures International. He oversees all aspects of distribution for Europe, The Middle East, and Africa.
He currently speaks English, Spanish, and Portuguese.
