Nazaret García Crespo´s academic background is Law and Media Management. Once she finished her degree in Law, she moved to Edinburgh to attend cinema courses at the University of Edinburgh. After two years living in Scotland she moved back to Spain to enroll in the Master in European Audiovisual Management of the Media Business School. She also started a PhD in Law to broaden her knowledge in intellectual property and copyright.
Nazaret has more than twelve years’ experience in the film business. Currently, she works as Executive Producer for documentary films. She has produced a variety of television documentaries for the main European networks including ARTE, National Geographic International, TVE, TeleMadrid, Mdr, etc.
She has been member of two ICAA Committees (Spanish Culture and Education Council): selecting the Spanish projects that will receive script-writing and development support (2010-2013). Specialized in documentaries, Nazaret has been a speaker and jury at several seminars, conferences and pitchings.
- “Chillida: the Depth of Air”. Executive Producer. Documentary project in post-production. Co-produced with TVE, ETB and Marmoka. Developed with the support of the MEDIA Programme and Basque Government. Pre-sold to AVRO (The Netherlands).
- “Last Hunters”. Executive producer. Five episode documentary series. Co-produced with ARTE (Germany and France), Mdr (Germany) and Ma.ja.de (Germany).
- “The Lady of Cao: the Mistery of the Tattooed Mummy”. Director of Development. Documentary co-produced with TVE. Developed with the support of MEDIA Programme. Produced with the support of Wiese Foundation and PromPeru. Pre-sold to National Geographic America and ORF (Austria).
- “Lord of Sipan” Documentary pre-sold to TVE, National Geographic America, V-ME (USA) and ARTE (France and Germany).
