Nils Holger Henning founded YoungBrains in 2009.

Nils holds a LL.M. in commercial law and a Diplom-Kaufmann in business administration. Until December 2012 Nils was CCO of Bigpoint, a video games company he joined in 2005 as a partner of the founder Heiko Hubertz. Nils established the commercial department and the company’s vast network of media partners from a garage-size startup to a global leader. He was building and leading a team of 100+ employees within Bigpoint and also started the localization and internationalization of the business. Nils was also companies spokesman. During his responsibility Bigpoint games were available in 30+ languages and the player audience was growing with up to 250.000 accounts per day to more than 300 million game accounts!

During Bigpoint, Nils was fully involved in the inicial funding processes with Aurelia Private Equity, United Internet and the European Founders Fund (2006).

Afterwards he was leading Bigpoint’s sales process to NBC Universals’s Peacock Fund and GMT Communications Partners (2008 valuation USD 110 million).

Also Nils was representing Bigpoint’s commercial side in the 2011 sales to TA Associates and Summit Partners.

Before joining Bigpoint, Nils worked for a number of well-known companies, including Hays, AOL and Whirlpool and was living in countries like Argentina, Italy and Thailand. Nils gave more than 100 keynote addresses and presentations at major international industry conferences, such as the DLD Munich, Bundestag Berlin, European Business Awards Roma, MIPCOM in Cannes, Monaco Media Forum, GDC San Francisco, Frankfurter Buchmesse Beijing, etc.

Nils is also a part of the media board Hamburg and actively involved as an angel advisor and investor. He is a cosmopolitan and passionate about yoga, sailing and vintage cars.
