For 20 years, Renate Roginas has headed International Business Affairs at TELFRANCE, one of the major French production companies based in Paris, and its subsidiaries in France and abroad -Netherlands and Switzerland. Due to her successful co-productions across Europe, TELFRANCE became the winner in February 1999 of the Monte Carlo Festival’s first European Producer’s Award.

Renate is also a tutor, teacher and an expert of various European training programs and film schools, such as the Media Business School, l’Institut National Audiovisuel , European and Mediterranean Films Crossing Borders and the Baltic Film and Media School in Tallinn and many others.

In March 2000, after the withdrawal of EMDA, Renate Roginas acted as Head of Selection for MEDIA ASSISTANCE of the MEDIA II Development Program of the European Commission. She has been Executive Secretary of Eurimages from 2001 until 2005. Beginning 2006 Renate Roginas was hired as a consultant to the St. Petersburg International Film Festival, Russia, shaping the artistic editorial line of the International Competition Program. Her core business is raising finance for young talent and creative producers, focusing on the new European Union member film industries as well as Latin America and the Arabic speaking countries. She also continues her commitment to professional training and related industry initiatives. From December 2006 to February 2008, she managed as a team leader the PHARE/PRE-MEDIA SUPPORT Programme of the European Union “Strengthening the audio-visual sector in Romania”.

In May 2008 Renate launched a worldwide cultural society based in Berlin, VILLA KULT. The villa is primarily a creative meeting place for artists and lovers of arts and culture in order to find new and revolutionary ways of expression.

From 2011 to April 2012 Renate ROGINAS acted as the Team Leader of the Euromed Audiovisual III Programme – Regional Capacity Development, funded by the European Union, which operates in 9 South Mediterranean countries. Until 2014 Renate works in the capacity development department for the Arabic speaking countries and Turkey of the German governmental cooperation services.
