The Media Business School (MBS) has rescheduled the 2015 edition of Mega Plus, the European Master in Audiovisual Management, and M&ID, Marketing and International Distribution.

The MBS training initiatives are well known for driving forward the careers and projects of those who participate, and for granting them access to the wide professional network that the school has built in over twenty years.

megaplus_logo-icono-webMega Plus is a project-based master’s programme that provides specialised training in audiovisual company management and content production. It will kick off in Ronda (Málaga, Spain) on 21st September with a 10 week residential training. During this period participants will attend plenary sessions, group tutorials and one-on-one meetings with experts who will also support them on their course projects.

The residential training is followed by two internship periods (January to March and April to June) in which participants have the opportunity to apply their recently acquired knowledge and skills. The mix of residential training and internships has proven to be very effective to fast track participants’ careers. This master’s programme has a 90% job placement rate.

Mega Pilots, a new feature of this Mega Plus edition…

The new Mega Pilots feature will be an inherent part of the upcoming Mega Plus 2015 and will involve its participants in the development and production of a short audiovisual project. This feature will allow participant’s to gain direct and hands-on experience on a production of their own choice, while also challenging their creative skills.

Set as a complement to the existing Mega Plus’ modules and business planning work, Mega Pilots represents a unique opportunity for participants to act as “creative producers”.

Mega Plus 2015’s participants will have to develop and produce a 12 minutes audiovisual project within the following eligibility requisites:

•Feature Films within a selected film database. Participants will use existing film concepts by referencing public domain features or films belonging to the catalogue of the MBS’ collaborating production companies.

•Projects based on Public Domain (or free of rights) literary works.

•Original TV formats such as: Quiz Shows, TV series, Factual Programmes, Comedy and Entertainment shows, new formats, fiction or documentaries.

During the five days, participants will work hand in hand with top industry professionals that will guide them through the complex process of creating the marketing and distribution plans for the projects they are attending with.

At the end of the training cycle participants will have gained the ability to make informed choices on market positioning and the real distribution potential of their future projects, as well as an understanding of the tools, skills and collaborators needed to devise and execute compelling marketing campaigns.
