mega plus is a nine month, project-based master’s programme that provides specialised training in audiovisual company management and content production. It’s geared to young producers, recent film school or university graduates who wish to accelerate their careers, and to film executives who want to update their skills to face the radical changes that are taking place in the audiovisual business.
mega plus, led by Hugo Lasarte is designed to prepare the next generation of industry entrepreneurs and executives to enter the sector with the skills and knowhow required to operate in a digital, on demand economy. With a 90% job placement rate, mega has become a renowned reference both for young professionals and for European audiovisual companies seeking new business talent.

The programme will enable participants to significantly expand their professional network of contacts both with the other participants and attending experts, all players in the entertainment industry.
· The residential period is composed of 10 weeks of plenary sessions, group tutorials and individual meetings with experts;
· The online consultation period, comprising individual and group tutorials with industry professionals and tutors, and internship in an entertainment company run in parallel over 3 months;
· The final evaluation, including the assessment of the final project proposal by a panel of international industry professionals, concludes the training cycle of mega.
Applicants must apply with an audiovisual or company project. Through the process of developing their course project participants understand how to manage an audiovisual project from inception to exploitation, including how to: choose, develop, finance, produce, package, sell and distribute a project; develop and implement an audiovisual project business plan; position a business plan to exploit and maximise IP value and revenues across the value chain.

tutorials and individual meetings:
Each participant is assigned a tutor (an industry professional) to counsel him / her throughout the course and the development of their project or company business plan. In addition individual meetings between participants and visiting experts will be arranged upon request.
online consultation and internship period:
Participants must complete a 3 months internship in one or two industry organisations. The mega team and tutors advise and support participants to secure a company placement*. Throughout the internship period participants will continue to develop their course projects using an online platform for consultation with tutors and experts.
During the final evaluation participants’ business plans will be evaluated by a team of industry experts and the resulting audiovisual pilots projects will be showcased.
