Short film Oasis wins two awards at Seville European Film Festival

Oasis, a short film directed and co-written by Carmen Jiménez has obtained two awards at the Seville European Film Festival that has closed its 11th edition this weekend. Carmen took part in the 2004 edition of Mega Plus · European Master in Audiovisual Management.

The short film has received the Andalusian Panorama Best Short Film Award. According to the ASECAN (Andalusian Film writers association) jury, Oasis is “a short film, well directed, edited and set that maintains the rhythm and interest with a subject matter, equality, that is treated with special sensitivity”.

Oasis has also won the award from the distribution company MARVIN & WAYNE for which it will get strategy and promotion services at 60 festivals, both national and International.

Logline: After her husband dies, Nieves inherits his job as the super of a decaying apartment complex in New York City. But the job becomes more difficult than she anticipated when she discovers a young girl who’s kept captive in one of the units.
